Katie Turney Memorial Book Fund donates to Durant High School’s library

The Katie Turney Memorial Book Fund continues Katie’s love of reading by putting new young adult fiction on Durant High School shelves — books students can check out and carry home.

Each August, around Katie’s birthday, proceeds from the fund are donated to the school library. Since 2014, donations have helped purchase over 1,100 young adult fiction titles.

The fund is run by BreadAndBooks.org, a volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every gift pools into that annual library donation.
